I'd like to learn containers before I put anything on a server, and my Windows PC is the only machine I have right now. I've seen people say to just install Docker Desktop and try a few things, but I've also seen comments saying it's not the same as running Docker on Linux.
Is it a decent way to start, or will I pick up habits that won't carry over? I think it uses something called WSL behind the scenes, and I don't really know what that means for my work PC if I install it. Also, if I get a simple container working there, like a small web page, how much of that would actually move over to a mini PC later? Or should I just wait and learn it all on the Linux box?
