I'm slowly but surely building my lab back up. My goal this round is to be low power. I started with a new (well actually old) HP SFF desktop and added a 250GB SSD (because we removed it prior to me getting it from work) and an additional network card to convert it into my main pfSense box.
Right now my main hypervisor is my old System76 laptop running Proxmox and I've added a second pfSense box there to announce my server subnets via OSPF back to the main box. I am running into some issues with this setup and after some testing that I'm letting run I will touch back on that later this evening / tomorrow.
I think as I make changes to my network I'm going to try to keep this thread updated.
