I've recently returned to a role that involves managing macOS endpoints for a higher-ed institution. I feel like macOS management, particularly in this environment, is pretty niche and there are a lot of outdated and polarized opinions on Apple products, in general.
My goal with this thread is to open the floor to some discussions on macOS management, and share ideas and tips on the subject!
Let's start with this one: updates. Many of us are used to the old Apple that made it almost impossible to download installers for various macOS versions. That is not the Apple of today! We can now download any macOS installers directly from Apple servers. I personally rely on MrMacintosh's database of links.
What are some challenges that you're having with macOS in your role?
