Hello Everyone,

In order to further my career in cloud computing, I would like some guidance on the most valuable qualifications in the industry. Although I have three years of experience in IT infrastructure and some practical knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, I am not yet certified in any particular cloud technology. My objective is to specialise, preferably in a position that blends security and cloud architecture.

As far as I can tell, there are a tonne of possibilities, including vendor-neutral credentials like CompTIA Cloud+, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Administrator, and AWS Solutions Architect. Given the state of the job market and the possible return on investment in terms of both time and money, I'm having trouble deciding which one would be best to pursue first.

If any of you have completed these qualifications or are now employed in the cloud computing industry, I would really value your opinions on the following:
  • Which certificates have influenced your career the most, and why?
  • Would a vendor-specific certification like AWS or a more comprehensive one like CompTIA Cloud+ be a better place for someone with a basic IT background to start?
  • Have you discovered any specific study materials or classes to be particularly beneficial?
I would suggest that snowflake certification is the best. Any guidance or firsthand knowledge would be very beneficial.

Regards
Daisy
